Class Description

This online Zoom class will guide you through the basics of 3D printing and design by creating a personalized Medallion using Tinkercad and Ultimaker Cura. Each session is 60 minutes long with a maximum of 6 students for personalized attention. 3D prints will be shipped to you after completion. Navigate the workspace and utilize essential tools for basic design. Medallion Design Fundamentals: Understand basic Medallion geometry and design principles. Discuss common Medallion styles and personalization options. Crafting Your Key Chain: Start building your personalized Medallion in Tinkercad, using shapes, combinations, and modifications to express your unique design. Session 2: Mastering Cura & Preparing for Print Ultimaker Cura Introduction: Explore the interface and core functionalities of Cura for slicing and preparing your 3D model for printing. Slicing Your Medallion: Learn about infill density, supports, and printing settings tailored for your ring design. Understand their impact on print quality and functionality.
